Pauleen Micallef was born in 1951, married her husband Tony and has three children and two grandchildren. Her first mentor was Ms Spiteri- Staines, her art teacher at Maria Assumpta Secondary Tech. School. She is an expressionist and plein-art artist.

During the past few years Pauleen has moved into more expressive work, particularly with her landscapes. In fact 4 works have been selected to go into print by a prestigious printing firm in Valencia, Spain. She has works in private collections locally, in Greece, Ghent, UK and South Africa.

Besides original paintings, you can also order (limited edition) prints in A4 and A3 at the price of €20 and €35 respectively. 

I take commissions for portraits still life and landscapes.

1992-1995
Participated in joint exhibitions to collect funds for a kidney machine.

2002
First solo exhibition 'In Sepia' concentrating on the human figure and Temples.

2003
Organised and participated in collective exhibitions at St James Cavalier, for the Malta Red Cross, and the EMPTC Prehistoric Temple Builders' Exhibition.

2004
April/May was very active at Caraffa Halls in Birgu for the Caravaggio, 'La Mostra Impossibile'. She did 5 interpretations in pastel of this great artist.

2005
Participated in the Nadur Carnival Exhibition in Rabat, Gozo.  Bugibba arts Festival, including her Dance Studio 'Fantasies by the Sea' at the Valletta Waterfront.

2007 October - Collective - Minn Idejn l-Artist Dun Gorg Preca. Another collective at the Palazzo Della Salle.

2007 November - Collective Exhibition at the Chinese Cultural Institute organised by the Malta Pastel Society, Part/proceeds towards the Richmond Foundation

2008 June - Collective Organised by the Malta Society for Arts and Culture, at the Malta Trade Fairs & Conventions Centre, Ta'Qali.

2009 April - Solo exhibition at the Athenaeum Spa - Corinthia Hotel, Attard.

2009 July - Resident artist at the Malta Jazz Festival at Ta' Liesse, Valletta.

2009 October - Xmas art sale at Pauleen's Dance Studio.

2009 October - Collective Pastel Society at Palazzo De La Salle.

2010 June - Collective Malta Society of Arts at Palazzo De La Salle.
